What a licence means
Since 2021, anyone guiding for pay in the Czech Republic must hold the Czech National Guide Card (Český národní průkaz průvodce), issued by the Ministry of Regional Development, and wear it visibly while guiding. The card has two degrees, and the higher one is issued only to guides with a recognised professional qualification, such as the Prague guide exam run by Prague City Tourism. We work only with guides who hold the card.

How do I recognise a licensed guide in Prague?

Are street guides legal?
