About Bohemian Switzerland
Bohemian Switzerland is a landscape of sandstone towers, deep ravines and forests on the border with Germany. It was declared a national park in 2000, and together with Saxon Switzerland on the German side it forms one of the most striking natural areas in Central Europe.
Pravčická brána
The highlight is Pravčická brána, the largest natural sandstone arch in Europe. You cannot walk on it, but the viewpoints around it and the historic chalet at its foot make the hike worthwhile.
The gorges
Near the village of Hřensko, the Kamenice river runs through narrow gorges with walkways and, in season, short boat sections. It is one of the most atmospheric walks in the country.
